Turning Old Bottles into Decorative Vases for Plants

Sometimes, sustainability looks like getting your hands a little messy and seeing waste differently.
In partnership with Wine and Art, we spent time with students showing them how something as simple as a discarded wine bottle can be transformed into a decorative plant vase. What would have been thrown away became something personal, creative, and useful.
The session was very hands-on. Students cleaned, designed, and reimagined the bottles in their own way, turning each one into a unique piece. More importantly, it opened up a conversation—what else do we throw away that could be reused? How can we reduce waste without overcomplicating things?
That’s really what this initiative was about. Not just art, but perspective. Helping students see that sustainability isn’t always big or technical—it can start with simple, everyday choices.
It was also a reminder that when creativity meets environmental awareness, people connect with the message a lot more. And in this case, they got to take that message home with them—literally.
We’re excited to keep exploring more ways to make sustainability practical, engaging, and a little more creative. 🌿✨
